ELENA SALAH
GRAVES & LIGHTS (FROM ARISTOTLE)
Elena Salah seeks a resolute memory linked to natural or human events through landscape situations. She photographs landscapes, not as a picturesque spectacle, but as a reality from which meaning can emerge.
She prefers them empty, unproductive, which speak of the place of their disappearance and send the survivors back to the anguish of responsibility. Between oblivion and memory, the traces of a disappearance overlap and the images are reversed.
Exhibition from July 11th to August 31st 2023
Very happy to show this exhibition, which I hope will surprise the audience. Far from the straight document, Elena Salah shows installations of all kinds. She defines herself as a visual artist using photography.
That’s wonderful, we love this kind of work.
